See your AI usage

Not part of the free edition. The AI Usage page and the credit total in the top bar meter the AI allowance DeltaVault pays for. A free organization runs Ask AI on its own Anthropic key and is billed by its provider, so it has no allowance to meter and neither surface appears. See Pricing for what each edition includes.

The AI Usage page shows where your AI credits are going. It opens from the credit total in the top bar and gives you a spend chart, a breakdown by activity, and a drill-down all the way to a single request and the events that made up its cost.

Select the credit total in the top bar. It opens the AI Usage page. You can also go to /ai/usage directly.

Read your month and top-ups

The strip at the top of the page is your month to date:

My usage this month shows your month-to-date credit total. When an allowance applies, it reads as a total against that allowance (for example, 320 of 2,000 credits). Your plan allowance resets on the first of each month, in Coordinated Universal Time.
When your organization has bought top-up credits, or you have crossed your plan allowance into the buffer or run out, a notice appears here with a way to add more. Organization administrators see the credit packs to buy.
When your organization runs on its own provider key, the strip says so instead of showing an allowance, because that usage bills to your organization’s own account.

Read the spend chart

Below the strip is a stacked-bar chart of credit spend over time. Each bar is one time bucket, and the colored segments are the activity categories.

Switch the range with the 24 hours, 7 days, and 30 days buttons. The page opens on 24 hours.
Times are shown in your local timezone.
On the longer ranges the chart shows the most recent activity in the range when there is more than fits; a caption tells you when that is the case.

Under the chart is a table with one row per category that had spend, showing Category, Requests, Credits, and the Share of the range’s total.

The eight categories

Every AI request falls into one of eight categories:

Workshops covers guided model-building runs.
Chat covers your Ask AI conversations.
Business Modeling covers model reviews and modeling assists on business entities, attributes, and the data vault and data mart canvases.
Knowledge covers knowledge-base and document work.
Catalog covers catalog metadata assists.
Canvas covers the modeling skills you run on the canvas.
Playground covers runs from the AI Playground.
Background and other covers scheduled and background work, plus anything not tied to one of the surfaces above.

Drill into a category

Select a category, either a segment in the chart or a row in the table, to open its request list. Each row shows a plain-language title, a count of the requests it covers, when it last ran, and its total credits. On the organization view, a request also shows who ran it. Longer lists load more on demand.

Read a single request

Select a request to open its cost detail. Depending on the kind of request you see:

A title that names the request in plain language (for example a workshop’s model name, a chat’s title, or a skill’s name).
What you asked, shown for skill runs, listing the free-text you entered for that run.
A stat row with the model, effort, how long it took, and its status, when those are known.
A Cost breakdown table listing each event that made up the request and its credits, with the total at the foot.

If the underlying chat or run has since been deleted, the page shows a short notice and falls back to the recorded events only, so the cost is still accounted for.

Personal and organization views

If you are an administrator, a toggle at the top switches between My usage and Organization. My usage is your own spend; Organization is everyone’s. Members who are not administrators see their own usage only.

A note on timing

The chart and the request timestamps use your local timezone. The month strip totals your whole month regardless of the range you are viewing, so the strip and the chart answer different questions: the strip is your month against your allowance, and the chart is where the spend went across the range you picked.
